RISE Mzansi has taken note of the ANC's proposal to form a Government of National Unity (GNU) that includes all political parties represented in the National Assembly, preceded by a National Dialogue. This situation is unprecedented in our democratic era, where national elections have not produced a clear winner. RISE Mzansi urges all political leaders and formations to recognize the significance of this moment and proceed with utmost care and diligence, prioritizing the interests of the South African people above all else.

South Africans expect their leaders to demonstrate maturity and a willingness to work together to prevent paralysis amid enormous national challenges, ensuring democratic accountability in any solutions derived from dialogue. It is crucial for everyone to uphold the rule of law and maintain national order to keep citizens safe and secure while continuing to promote constitutional values. The RISE Mzansi National Leadership Collective (NLC) will convene this weekend to discuss the ANC's proposal and any other proposals from engagements with various political parties, after which a detailed position will be provided.
